HER STORY
Although our family began farming coffee in 2010, the La’ Marc Coffee brand was born in 2016 after meeting Marcie — a bright, resilient teenage girl who had experienced profound hardship. At seventeen, she faced an unplanned pregnancy and had been left without support, ultimately finding refuge on our farm where her aunt once worked as a coffee picker.
Walking with Marcie through her pregnancy and the birth of her child changed us. Her courage clarified our purpose: to use our work to uplift young women facing similar challenges. In her honor, we named the brand “La’ Marc” — a tribute to her strength and a reminder of the stories we hope to help rewrite.
